OOOOOHHMEERRRGERRRRDNASSSS!! Boo boo, please stop! Like now. My brain cells are dying from reading statuses about prepubescent cootie sharing relationships.

[Check yo’self] Real love or your worth isn’t found in everything that moves & says “hey, seedy wink;)”. Real love has been with you & has followed you since you were born. The #1 show bag you received upon resurrection Sunday was filled with everything you need - namely Jesus! Open it.

[Truth] For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39)

[Choose better] But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42)

“SNOOZE YOU LOSE”

A phrase used in my household when it came to the last piece of chocolate, hot water, food, being first at something or doing something fun. Like this hypothetical scenario;

Waking up in the morning to find no one home so you call your family to see where they are and find that they’ve decided to have a “family” day out doing all kinds of “family” fun stuff without I don’t know…you!! So you message your friends to hang out just so you can have 10 times more fun than your family but your friends dont answer so you lock yourself in your room, post a status with only a sad face on Facebook and blast MCR whilst writing hate entries in your journal.

Speaking hypothetically still…give us a sec..(*cries in the corner*)

Ahahahaha, I’m kidding!
#likeforaprayer lol
Anyways!

~

It has only just dawned on me that this phrase carries a deeper meaning and is very relevant to life. How?

Think about the many things you’ve dreamed, wished, prayed, hoped or pencilled in for a later date. If the overrated, overused word by teenagers/clowns around the world that is YOLO could teach us anything it would be that we have one life and it must be lived to the FULLEST!!! (shout out to the 90’s ;)

~

I remember back in my High School years I attended a local Youth movement. The Youth Pastor was preaching that night and was going great guns as usual. He then put a question out to the crowd, “where is the richest place on earth?”. America one answered, Middle East some shouted, China or Australia others would say. My Youth Pastor shook his head to every answer which left us confused.
Then where? He finally told us by revealing a picture of a graveyard.
Huh?
He went on to say that the reason why the graveyard is the richest place on earth is because in it lies bestselling books that had never been written, songs that were never sung, ideas that were never created, multimillion dollar businesses that could’ve changed the world, cures to diseases that could’ve been found and dreams that have now been forgotten.
This is why the graveyard is the richest place on earth.
(*glass shattering in my young mind lol***)

Till this day I have never forgotten that message and the importance of living a life with purpose. To live a life that’s beyond average, against the current, explosively impacting and worth living.
I want to sign out of earth knowing that I had truly lived and loved every minute of life.

~

So I challenge you, Don’t wait for time cause time won’t wait for you. This includes your bucket list and Before I reach.. lists. If you’re unhappy or bored with life wake up from the day to day routine and switch it up.

From the little; bake a cake, see a sunrise on the beach, try new foods, actually make something you repined on Pinterest, attend a concert or say the words I love you to your loved ones just because you can!

To the big; bungee jump in New Zealand, sky dive in Sydney, travel to Europe, marry your partner you’ve been with for yonks, go in a shark cage or fist pump with Pauly D.

~

Make memories!

~

Snooze you lose also applies to those who sit on the sidelines of life wasting away. The pure laziness, deck full of excuse cards, handout living, professional procrastinator folk who are more than capable to make a living for themselves but choose not to.
Wake up already!
We all have something to contribute to the world, to a person or to you. Coming from a background just like this, what I’ve learnt is that having a big dream whilst riding in the snooze wagon will always remain a dream and eventually head to a lost road.

~

Awkward moment when you wake up from the slumber of everything that has ever held you back to finally LIVE but unfortunately you’ve reached the point of having to sleep permanently. Not only is it awkward but it is sad.

~

Some say we don’t have enough time or too busy but we are all given the same 24 hours a day.
Manage your time well and live!
:)

AWAKE I WIN

It’s Easter weekend. Three days in the Christian calendar devoted to the remembrance and thanksgiving of what Jesus did on the cross thousands of years ago. The death and resurrection of one man that saved a damned world.

I decided this year to go beyond tingling feelings but come expectant for a new Easter revelation. To go further than the usual church service or watching The Passion of Christ for my Easter fix. I wanted more. Funny enough, revelation didn’t come at the church service (even though it was good;) nor did it come on tv. This years Easter fix came from time spent with God and His word.

The words "It is finished" came to mind and so the search for my Easter fix had begun.

"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, IT IS FINISHED: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit." John 19:30

It is finished was the last words uttered by Jesus as he hung on the cross. In Greek "it is finished" translates to "tetelestai" which is an accounting term that means "Paid in Full." When Jesus said "paid in full" he was declaring the debt of sin owed by mankind to His father was now wiped clean forever.

Paid in full; no payment plan, no deposit, no split bill and no warranty. Jesus paid in full!! All in was the price, with his life He paid and you were the prize.

He Is Risen..

"Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you" 2 Corinthians 5:16-20 (MSG)

On the 9/9/08 I came to school ready to do my HSC music practical exam and was packin it. I was making my way to the library to do some last minute preparation when I was told…
This picture is what followed minutes later.
It was Tuesday the 9th of September 2008, a time of total disbelief and despair as the news entered the ears of those who loved her. The day a good friend to many, the beautiful Shauntelle (Mem) Berryman passed away and met her Creator.
This photo was shared on many users of Bebo for a while but no one knew the true story behind the photo. The phrase "Love You Mem" had become more than a saying but words embedded in my heart forever. Why?
I visited Mem weeks before her death and the funniest thing about this girl is even though her physical looked weak, her spirit was far from it. Shauntelle was the strongest person I knew! Who else could talk, laugh, hang out with us whilst coughing her lungs out and still be smiling? S.B. At the end of the visit I was given an opportunity to pray for her and the family which was something so precious in itself. As I left i wished her good health, kissed her goodbye and said "Love You Mem". In her soft voice she replied back "Love You Na’i".
I did not know it at the time but Love You Mem was going to be the last words I would ever say to Mem. I’m so glad that out everything we could’ve said; our last words to each other was saying I LOVE YOU.
To you Shauntelle Berryman, you are one of a flipping kind with a smile that could light up a room or get yourself out of trouble lol. There will never be another you and its safe to say that you will never be replaced. Last but not least, Love You Mem❤
